Usually what happens is that bed bugs love to travel and if you have recently travelled somewhere overseas you could of bought home this International traveller either in your luggage or dirty clothes without even knowing. What people do is that they place the luggage on the bed and start to unpack from their travels.
The bed bugs quickly move into their new home in the creases of the mattress, bed head, furniture, cracks and crevices of walls etc. They wait in darkness until you are asleep and then make their way over to gorge on your blood as their food source.
You will wake in the morning with small red raised lumps and depending on if you are allergic to the bites your reaction could be more severe and you will need to see a doctor for relief from the bites.
Maybe you will not worry about the bites and you may see spotting on your bed clothes or sheets and you may think that you have scratched yourself during the night.
This may all be disregarded and brushed off until the bites reoccur night after night and others in your home are also being bitten and that is when you start to think that you may have a bed bug epidemic!
Definitely, if you suspect that you have bed bugs either through your recent travels or you have picked up 2nd hand furniture that may be infected with bed bugs call a pest control management expert that will be able to take steps to rid these pest effectively once and for all.
