Keeping Yorkies well groomed is important if you want to keep them at their healthiest. Be aware of the grooming needs of parti Yorkies for sale before you buy them and make sure you ask the breeder you’re going to buy from any questions relating to grooming that you may have.

Parti Yorkies should be groomed daily. Once you’ve mastered the art of daily grooming it should only take you around 15 minutes to complete. Aside from daily brushing, you should also trim their coat when it gets too long, clean and examine their eyes and ears and also cut their nails if you’re feeling up to the task.

Parti Yorkies for sale need just as much maintenance as other terriers and their coat needs almost the same amount of attention as our own hair. Their coat should be regularly brushed, trimmed and washed to keep it in top condition.

In order to prevent the breaking of hairs in your parti Yorkie’s coat, you should make sure that their coat is a little damp. Start near the Yorkie’s head and work down towards their tail, first brushing against the hairs. Then work from the tail end back towards the front, this time working your way along the hairs from root to tip.

Nails that haven’t been trimmed can cause a lot of problems for Yorkies, so regular nail clipping is a must. Trimming nails can be quite challenging, so if you’re new to the task and not very confident, take your parti Yorkie to a professional.

Some simple grooming tasks that even beginner owners can do are cleaning and examining your Yorkie’s eyes and ears. This should be part of the daily grooming routine after you’ve brushed your Yorkie’s coat.

Check for dirt, wax, and any signs of infection E.G. irritated skin, swelling, or hairs blocking the ears. Cleaning dog’s ears can be done with cotton swabs and specially designed ear-cleaning products that can be bought at pet stores. Gently wipe the inside of your Yorkie’s ears to make sure they’re completely clean.

Check around their eyes for the same sort of things and gently wipe around them, or pull away troublesome dirt that may irritate your dog and cause them to scratch their eyes.
